Your PC (or laptop) and your TV must be connected to the same Wi-Fi network.
If they are not on the same network, screen casting will not work.

Method 1: Cast Wirelessly Using Windows Built-In Display Settings (Best Method)

This method works on Windows 10 and Windows 11 and does not require any third-party apps.

Steps:

  1. Click StartSettings
  2. Go to System
  3. Click Display
  4. Scroll down and select Multiple displays
  5. Click Connect to a wireless display

Windows will automatically search for available wireless displays.

  1. Select your Smart TV from the list
  2. If your TV asks for permission, allow screen mirroring

If your TV does not appear, make sure:

  • Screen casting / Miracast is enabled in your TV settings
  • Your TV is connected to the same Wi-Fi network

Why This Method Is Best

  • No apps required
  • Very low lag
  • No major resolution issues
  • Stable wireless connection

Disconnecting

To stop casting:

  • Click Disconnect from the wireless display menu on your PC

Method 2: Cast Using Google Chrome (Alternative Method)

If the first method does not work, use Chrome’s built-in casting feature.

Steps:

  1. Open Google Chrome on your PC
  2. Click the three-dot menu in the top-right corner
  3. Select Cast
  4. Click Sources
  5. Choose Cast desktop
  6. Select your Smart TV

Your PC screen will now appear on your TV.

Notes

  • You may notice slight resolution or scaling issues
  • Performance depends on your Wi-Fi quality
  • Still works without installing any extra apps

Stop Casting

  • Open the Cast menu again
  • Click Stop casting

Conclusion:

Both methods allow you to wirelessly mirror your PC screen to a Smart TV without installing third-party software.
